MEET THE
NEW LIBERALS
New Democracy is a support network and "home-base" for pragmatic Democratic leaders – governors, mayors, state officials and Members of Congress – with the mission of expanding the party’s appeal across Middle America and making Democrats competitive everywhere.
In 2023, Center for New Liberalism (CNL) joined New Democracy. The addition of CNL will help accelerate this mission of year-round local engagement and chapter based local organizing.
New Liberals are activists, and together comprise New Democracy’s grassroots network supporting center-left Democrats in all levels of government. They are voters, engaged in their communities, and have a desire for pragmatic policy at all levels of government.
WHAT STARTED AS A DIGITAL ORG IS ALSO BECOMING AN IN PERSON FIELD FORCE
Every month, our grassroots network reaches around 15 million people mostly on Reddit and Twitter, as well as a podcast with over a million downloads.
New Liberals have knocked on thousands of doors for pragmatic, center-left candidates in states like Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, California, Texas and more.
NEW LIBERALS HAVE THE EXPERIENCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Most New Liberals are not future candidates and instead personally support candidates and political campaigns. They have volunteered and been hired to work in the political sector. Most New Liberals have political experience at either the local, state, or national level, with most of their expertise being at the local level.
